Girls Artistic Gymnastics

Girls artistic gymnastics consists of 4 apparatus: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. In classes at Elite, we also utilize tumble trak and trampoline. Strength, coordination and flexibility are developed in a safe and fun environment while learning skills.
Vault
This is an extension of tumbling. At the beginner level, vault is all about running and learning how to jump on the spring board to create a powerful vault.

Uneven Bars

Uneven Bars are the most important event for developing raw strength. Gymnasts will work on skills that will not only be fun and challenging but will lead to bigger and exciting swinging skills.

Balance Beam

Coordination and concentration are the keys to being confident on this event. A combination of tumbling and dance skills will be taught and reinforced through all levels.

Floor Exercise

Tumbling such as rolls, handstands and cartwheels will eventually lead to walkovers and handsprings. Dance skills and basic jumps will also be developed.

Trampoline & Tumble Track

These 2 events will also be incorporated in to your child’s class as a fun way to develop some jumping and flipping coordination.
